Abstract

Allah has granted simplification and ampleness for this nation, so He prepared the Imams and critics of the Sunna to penetrate the original from the outlandish, and to recognize the right from  the wrong. He also stipulated following His prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in all decisions for his charity. Allah said in the Holly Quran: { Oh believers, say if you love Allah,  follow me (the prophet) so that He may love you and forgive your sins } (Al-Umran 31), and He conjugated the prophet's obedience with His obedience when He said in the Quran: { Those who obey the prophet has obeyed Allah} (Al-Nisaa' 80). The Sunna has been preserved and protected from falsification and distortion. Thus, Allah has preserved  the second source of the Islamic legislation for us by those honourable scholars  who served and preserved the Sunna. In this research, I chose a number of scholars (riwat) who transformed the prohet's sayings(hadeeth) and were mentioned by Imam Yaqut Al-Hamawi in his two books (Mu'jam Al-Buldan) and (Mu'jam Al-Udabaa), although these two books were specialized in Genealogy (Alansab). But Al-Hamawi talked about these scholars in his two books in a critical, comprehensive way.

Finally, I supplicate Allah to grant us honesty and to preserve us from temptations of speech and deeds, He is the All Mighty, and may Allah's blessings and peace be upon His messenger Muhammed.
