Manifestations of Nostalgia in the Poetry of Nizar Al-Nadawi - a Study in the Office of Stolen Kingdoms -

Abstract

This research examines the manifestations of nostalgia in the product of the expatriate Iraqi poet Nizar Al-Nadawi in its various manifestations, according to the mechanisms of the descriptive and analytical method, describing nostalgia as a phenomenon that has received the attention of Iraqi writers. The research studies some of the poetic texts selected in the Diwan of Stolen Kingdoms, to clarify the manifestations of nostalgia in selected titles such as, nostalgia and spatial estrangement, nostalgia and spiritual estrangement, the estranged poet's nostalgia for the beloved and the cities in which he lived, and other different phenomena of nostalgia from a critical point of view, as well as shedding light on an important aspect of the poet’s biography and approaching his creative spaces.
