Opinion of Al-Imam Al-Tufi In the Absolute Interest

Abstract





Al-Imam Al-Tufi was one of the eminent scholars, and he held a high position in science. He classified works and gained a lot of knowledge for him. He had more than thirty books in various sciences, including jurisprudence, interpretation, principles of jurisprudence, creed, explanations of hadith and others, all of this made him at the forefront. Scholars, and make his saying and his opinion of what is referred to as stubbornness.


Al-Tufi had an opinion on the transmitted interest that no one of the scholars preceded him before, which is to give precedence to the text and consensus if there is a conflict between them. And Dr. Muhammad Sa`id al-Bouti and Ahmad ibn Mahmoud ibn Abd al-Wahhab al-Shanqiti, while some other scholars stood by al-Tawfi defending him, as they understood from his words that he could be interpreted in more than one way, and that he might be correct if he carried the meaning that does not contradict the texts, and among these scholars is the Imam Shatby and Dr. Bashir Mahdi al-Kubaisi.
