The Role of Muhammad Ibn Al-Munkadir in the Intellectual Life and the Blogging Movement in the Umayyad Era (41-132 AH / 661-749 AD)

ABSTRACT

Ibn al-Mankadr was an Umayyad-era scholar who possessed a wide range of knowledge in various fields, contributing significantly to the intellectual movement and Arab-Islamic civilization. The narratives that contributed to the documentation of Arab-Islamic history originated from Adam and subsequent prophets, and continued through the pre-Islamic era, the era of prophecy, the Rightly Guided Caliphate, and the Umayyad era, up until the time preceding the latter's demise. The author's narratives are characterized by quality, reliability, and truthfulness. Despite their large number, totaling just over 200 hadiths, they were not considered excessive during that period. The author's literary and artistic sensibilities were apparent in his storytelling, prayers, and commentary on certain poems. He supported the Arab-Islamic codification movement at its beginning, which was a crucial source for scholars who codified the Sunnah during his time and afterwards. One of his students, Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri, is considered the first to comprehensively codify the Sunnah and was a contemporary of Ibn al-Munkadir. This represents a fundamental aspect of the initial phase of the Islamic blogging movement.

ABSTRACT

The book "Masbah al-Sunnah" is a significant work in the field of hadith science, which has been widely accepted and studied by scholars who have invested considerable effort and time in its service. The Al-Sharh has been the subject of scholarly attention, with numerous works compiled using different methods. Judge Nasir al-Din Abdullah Ibn Omar al-Baydawi is one of the scholars who provided an explanation of "Masbah al-Sunnah," which he titled "Tuhfat al-Abrar Sharh Masa’ab al-Sunnah." Other scholars have also contributed to the explanation of this book due to its significance. Motivated by the desire in serving the noble hadith of the Prophet, the researcher obtained two copies of a manuscript and conducted a thorough investigation and study. The researcher relied on various authoritative sources in legal sciences, including interpretation, hadith, doctrine, biographies, translations, books of the stranger, and language. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the advancement of the sciences of hadith and to emphasize the book's scientific value.

The Loan and its Provisions in Islam

Understanding loans is crucial for Muslims to manage their daily lives effectively. This study aims to examine and comprehend the subject through the lens of the Noble Qur’an, noble hadiths, and the sayings of honorable companions. The loan categories, components, and terms were also addressed. This research demonstrates the permissibility of loans in Islamic law, as supported by evidence from the book and Sunnah of the Prophet. The loan process involves various components, such as the formula, two contracts, and the borrowed funds. Additionally, research has demonstrated this. Loans are subject to various conditions and controls that determine their validity and legitimacy. These conditions may include requirements such as a mortgage, a guarantor, or a written agreement. However, it is considered usury to stipulate an increase in the consideration or to require a gift to be presented to the borrower, as these conditions are deemed corrupt. It is impermissible to stipulate the exchange of a defective item for a valid one or to stipulate the sale of one's house, among other things.

This research, entitled: (Manhal al-Yanabe’e fi Sharh al-Masabih, by Ali bin Salah al-Din al-Sukhumi, Chapter on the Virtues of the Promising Ten) The book “Masbah al-Sunnah” by Imam al-Baghawi is considered a type of science of hadith; Therefore, it gained importance in this field, so the scholars accepted it and worked on it and took care of it, and they made great efforts in it and spent precious times in serving it. And each has its own approach, and among those who pioneered the explanation of “Masbah al-Sunnah” is Judge Nasser al-Din Abdullah bin Omar al-Baydawi, and he called his explanation “Tuhfat al-Abrar Sharh al-Masbah al-Sunnah” and other scholars, due to the importance of this book, and my desire to serve the honorable hadith of the Prophet, and may God Almighty make it easy I obtained two copies of the manuscript, so I began to investigate and study, relying, after God Almighty, on the most important books and sources in various legal sciences such as interpretation, hadith, creed, biographies, translations, books of strangers and language, and others. This study aims: to serve the sciences of hadith, And to highlight the scientific value of the book, and followed in the study: the inductive approach, then the analytical approach, and the study recommends: the need for science students to direct towards the realization of the Islamic heritage.

The library holds a varied assortment of books and treatises covering multiple areas of expertise. The ancients manually transcribed and curated knowledge, dedicating their lives to facilitating its accessibility for students and scholars. One text provides a summary of knowledge rulings. The researcher was motivated by their heritage and a desire for pride, leading them to consciously choose to study and investigate methods for documenting the subject matter. Through perseverance, the researcher was able to obtain a valuable manuscript. The researcher determined that the interdisciplinary research is a valuable addition to the field after careful review. Thus, it suggests researching, validating, and sharing it with experts in the field. The study was titled "Syntax of There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." Upon obtaining a manuscript inscribed with the declaration "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" in Arabic, the researcher felt compelled to examine its contents. The manuscript discusses the significance of monotheism in Islam.

Lafza ('af) in The Holly Qur’an: An Analytical Study

ABSTRACT

This study highlights the significance of language and its influence on the human psyche. It underscores the importance of respecting parents and refraining from using derogatory language towards them. The term "f" encompasses various negative connotations, thus it serves as a warning against verbal abuse towards parents. It is imperative to show reverence towards parents and avoid causing them any offense. This study affirms the significance of each word in the Holy Qur’an. Specifically, the verses in Surat al-Isra’ and al-Ahqaf that mention the word “f” highlight the potential consequences of disrespecting one's parents, which is considered a major sin requiring repentance for forgiveness. The use of the small word “f” serves as evidence of disobedience towards parents and may lead to punishment in the afterlife. The research revealed that the letter "F" in Surat Al-Anbiya signifies the significant historical event of disproving the divinity of idols during the time of Prophet Abraham. This event emphasizes the belief in the singular and supreme nature of God. The word "F" represents the courage displayed by Prophet Ibrahim in confronting the oppressive leaders of his community.

The Impact of Samarra’s scholars on Calling for Allah Almighty and Reforming society: Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Badri as a Model

Samarra has historically been a prominent city, known for producing numerous scholars, writers, and poets. This fact is widely acknowledged. Sheikh Abd al-Aziz bin Abd al-Latif al-Badri is a notable figure among the sheikhs and Mujahideen due to his ancestral connection to Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq. Born in 1929, he was raised in a scholarly environment in Baghdad. He was instructed in religion by a group of Baghdad scholars, such as Sheikh Amjad Al-Zahawi, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Qazlaji, Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Khatib, Muhammad Fuad Al-Alusi, and additional individuals. He was an enthusiastic Islamic preacher and orator who fearlessly advocated for trust in God. He faced multiple detentions for his outspokenness and actively opposed the communist movement in Iraq during the reign of Abd al-Karim. He even issued a fatwa denouncing communists as non-believers and called for their defeat. Consequently, communists were not tolerated during his tenure. The government ordered a one-year confinement at home for him. President Ahmed Hassan al-Bakr was imprisoned and subsequently killed in 1969 AD.
